Margarita Signature Cocktail Sign
My favorite cocktail – a margarita on the rocks with salt! I used to think I didn’t like these, but then I realized it was the store-bought mix or wrong tequila that had be saying “No, thank you!” The key to making the best margarita is silver tequila and fresh lime juice. There really isn’t a lot to this delicious refreshment, so as long as you have those two things, I’ll be over for a drink. 🙂 Serve them in crest cups for a truly welcoming experience!
Classic Margarita Recipe
To make a classic margarita, you’ll need tequila, orange liqueur, limes, and salt (optional for others; necessary for me). First, the tequila. I enjoy Don Julio Blanco. Experiment with other brands if you like, but just make sure it’s a blanco, or silver, tequila. Next, the orange liqueur. My choice is Cointreau. Period. Haha, there are others, but that’s what I like. And lastly, as stated above, make sure you have fresh limes for juicing and garnishing. It will make such a difference! If you like a salt-rim or are having me over, don’t forget that. To make a salt rim, slide a sliced wedge of lime around the top of the glass and then dip into a shallow dish of kosher salt. (Just make sure you salt the rim BEFORE pouring in my drink.)
