pet portraits

because what's more welcoming than our furry friends

I'll paint your beloved pet from a picture you send me, digitize the artwork, and then give you the digital files. You can print them on welcoming details like art prints, flags, stationery, mugs, gift tags, wedding welcome gifts and more!

CUSTOM WATERCOLOR PET PORTRAITs

It all started with a pup named hoover

YOUR FUR BABY IS FAMILY

Include Them in Special Moments

Hoover served as the perfect welcome to their celebration and the rest is history!

I've been offering custom watercolor pet portraits ever since!

Your pet is a part of your family, a part of your story.

I'll paint their portrait, digitize it, and help you add the artwork to stationery, gifts, and other thoughtful welcoming details that will allow you to include and cherish your furry friend in all your special moments!

Hoover is the handsome Samoyed you see here with his humans, Shanna & Connor. They were planning an outdoor D.C. wedding where Hoover would serve as             , but rules are rules and he wasn't allowed in their wedding reception venue. Heart broken over the thought of not having her fur baby at their reception, the bride-to-be reached out to me asking if I could paint a portrait of Hoover. This way, his portrait would welcome guests at their wedding reception and display as artwork in their home for years to come.

Pet Portrait Options

This style is for any pet, but really nice for smaller breeds. Your furry friend will be hand-painted from head-to-toe and then digitized. You will receive a JPG, transparent PNG, and a PDF with personal printing rights.

If you'd like more attention to facial details, then a bust portrait of your pet is perfect. These are nice for larger dogs so I can paint all the reflections in their eyes. You will receive a JPG, transparent PNG, and a PDF with personal printing rights.

How to Book a Pet Portrait

Your fur baby can't wait to be a part of your celebration!

Our pets are family and we want to include them in thoughtful ways! I'll paint your pet like the reference photo you provide and then you can use this hand-painted (then digitized) artwork for all your special details.

Choose from a full-body or bust portrait.

Full-body - A great choice for smaller pets. Make sure their reference photo includes their cute bod, from head-to-toe.

Bust - These are nice for larger pets. You'll get more detail in their face and their painting will be similar in size top-to-bottom and side-to-side. This is desired for printing on anything circular or square. (Think round stickers, cocktail napkins, etc.)

If you want a full-body portrait, please remember to include their paws. Sometimes they're left out of photos while we focus on their sweet faces. I need to see how they sit and all their markings to get their painting just right.

Hold a treat or toy near your camera if you'd like them to look directly at you. You know your pet. Use noises or words to get your favorite reaction from them.

Pet photos are often taken with us looking down at our cute furry friends. But for their watercolor portrait, it's best to take it while facing them on their level.

TIPS FOR TAKING YOUR PET's Picture

"I love how Milli's pet portrait really captures how she looks in real life.  The colors are so intricate and realistic, and you perfectly captured the sweet look of her cute little face. I will cherish it forever, and I'm excited to have it printed to give as gifts for a few of Milli's favorite humans. I know they're going to love it as well!"

"We couldn’t be happier with the painting of our goofy boy, Theo. Alicia was able to perfectly capture his sweet personality, bowl and all!"

@bulldog_dad

"Alicia's portrait of my pup, Hoover, was the star of the welcome table at our wedding reception. Since Hoover could not physically be at the party, Alicia painted a beautiful likeness of him sitting outside the venue, welcoming our guests inside. Alicia even incorporated the color palette for the wedding, and captured the little sparkle in Hoover's eye for a portrait that will be hanging in our home for years to come. Thank you for creating this memory of our sweet boy!"

"Every time we see this painting, we notice the incredible realism of her eyes. They are the same eyes we see every day in our favorite rescue dog!"

"Alicia caught the spirit of our prize winning pig! This painting shows how she loves to strut her stuff around the ring."

PHYLLIS

"I really enjoy drinking my morning coffee and especially love seeing my sweet Terra's face on the mug! Thank you, Alicia, for capturing my beautiful little rescue in watercolor. I so love and appreciate your talent."
