A custom watercolor map is a pretty way to tell the story of a special time and place together. Greet your guests with your custom map to show where all the festivities will be held. (Psst! The backsides of these maps are perfect for welcome notes and itineraries! Yay!)
Including a mix of venues, landmarks, and icons is a fun way to add your personality and keep the map simple and balanced. If you choose to have me paint a crest for you, that can be added to the map, too!
Your map will look amazing printed for guests on welcome notecards and just as good as a larger print for you to cherish in your home. It will serve as a memento for all your friends and family members to cherish for years to come!

FAVORITE VENUES
Venues represent where guests will stay or where your wedding/event is taking place. They can also be nearby spots that serve as well-known landmarks like The White House.
CUSTOMIZED MAP TITLE
Your map's title can be whatever you like! Welcome them to your city or your wedding/event weekend. Dates may be included, as well.
SPECIAL ICONS
Icons are a great way to represent places when space on your map is limited or the building doesn't match your aesthetic. For example, a suitcase to represent another hotel, a margarita for your favorite bar, or music notes for a concert venue are cute icon details!
ADD YOUR CREST
If you have a crest from The Welcoming District, that can be added to your map, too!
You may print your crest on your own or order fun details through The Welcoming District, whichever you prefer.
PRINTING
Custom maps take about 7-10 business days to complete. Please keep in mind that this date does not start at your time of purchase. After receiving payment, completing a questionnaire, and signing an agreement, we will schedule a design week based upon my availability.
TURNAROUND TIME
When your watercolor map is approved and completed, I'll send you three types of digital files: a transparent PNG, and JPG, and a PDF. This allows you to print your crest for personal use however you like.
DIGITAL FILES
Once your map has been purchased, I'll start a project for you in HoneyBook and send you an agreement to electronically sign. If you want to check on the project availability or ask questions before purchasing, simply start by completing the contact form here.

frequently asked questions
Yes, within reason. Larger prints for your home will print beautifully. As long as you don't need to print it on a billboard, you should be fine as it is a high-resolution image. :)
If you choose to work with a stationery company where you can upload your own files, they may have very specific size requests. You can resize them yourself with programs like PicMonkey or I can create them for you for $25 per file resize.
The sooner you get on my design schedule the better. Custom maps take 7-10 business days to complete so I only accept a few of those projects per month. Allow yourself a few weeks to get details printed, too.
Sometimes, but it depends on the item/service and your deadline. Please check with me first before making a purchase. Rush fees vary.
It depends on how you want to use it, but the sooner the better. A custom crest takes about a week to design and your start date depends on my design schedule. If I'm booked for the next month and your wedding is in a month, you would need to go with a predesigned crest.
