DESCRIPTION
Semi-custom crests are made from hand-painted and then digitized watercolor elements by artist, Alicia Betz of The Welcoming District. Once the crest you select is updated with your selections, you will receive a set of three digital files: a JPG, a transparent PNG, and a PDF for personal printing.
TURNAROUND TIME
Your crest files will be sent to you through HoneyBook within 7-10 business days from the time your proposal is returned to The Welcoming District.
ORDERING
To order, click the "Get Started Here" button above. It will take you to HoneyBook where you will make your selections, sign the agreement, and make payment. (HoneyBook is where I keep track of all my projects.)
PRINTING
Once you have your digital files, you may print on your own for personal use. If you'd like to use this on stationery & products I offer, I'd love to help you print! I'm here if you need me, but there is no pressure if you'd rather print on your own.
SEMI-CUSTOM vs. custom
A custom crest allows you to add icons and request placement changes. The price starts at $275 and goes up if you want to add details that aren't in my collection. You need to be on my design calendar and projects take anywhere from 7-40 business days depending upon customizations. Tailor yours to match your wedding flowers, include your pet or wedding venue with add-ons!
A custom crest allows you to add icons, pet portraits/a wedding venue. The price starts at $275 and goes up if you want to add custom details that aren't in my collection. You need to be on my design calendar and projects take anywhere from 7-40 business days depending upon customizations. You can make adjustment requests for floral and icon positioning during the proofing process.
A semi-custom crest is all-florals and ready to go! The price starts at $175 and only goes up if you want to add a hand-painted interlocking monogram. No need to be on my design calendar - projects are completed in about 7-10 business days! You don't make adjustments to the florals or add icons, but can update it with a shield/banner color from my collection, banner text and a monogram.

Frequently Asked Questions
about semi-custom crests
With the purchase of a semi-custom crest, you will receive a JPG, transparent PNG, and a PDF (raster files) for personal printing that are in the ballpark of 14 MB each. My clients have used these for details as large as welcome signs and bar designs. Since I don't vectorize my paintings, the crests are not meant for large-scale printing like dance floors. If you need a vectorized design, please inquire about a line image.
Once you select the crest design of your choice, sign the agreement and make payment, you will receive up to TWO proofs of the same crest. The second proof is in case you want to see it on a different color or change the banner text/monogram style.
I offer "additional files" of your same crest with different banner text for $30. This is a great option for couples wanting to use their crest for things like save-the-dates and invitations where traditionally you'd use the date. You can order another set with your married surname or "EST. YEAR" to use after the ceremony.
