Mojito Signature Cocktail Sign
Do you enjoy fruity, sweet drinks? A mojito may be your cocktail! This classic is comprised of white rum, limes, mint, simple syrup, and a splash of club soda. It can easily be adapted to meet your palate with flavored rum and additional fruit if you so desire. A precaution: these go down easily and are a bit tedious to prepare. They can be made in pitchers rather than individually, but regardless, a lot of fruit cutting and muddling is involved. Make sure you have barbacks is using this as your signature drink for a large wedding or event. Also, expect me at your reception because they are delicious. 🙂
Mojito Recipe
To prepare a mojito, make sure to wash limes and mint. You’ll want to cut limes into quarter wedges (cut in half lengthwise; quarter those halves). Tear leaves off most of the mint keeping a few springs for garnish. Now you’re ready to build your drink. Start by muddling 4-5 mint leaves and two lime wedges. Next, add 2 ounces of white rum and half an ounce of simple syrup. Then add a handful of ice and shake well. Finally, pour into a collins glass (or crest cup!) and top with a splash club soda. Garnish with a lime wedge, sprig of mint, or both!
