In the heat of tax season, when many entrepreneurs may be uncovering the difficult realities of small business tax laws, Tuesdays Together DC/Alexandria found an angel. His name….. is Tom Barnhill. This entire meeting could really be summed up like this – Tom knows everything we don’t. The end.
Kidding. Well, not about Tom’s knowledge. He has spent over 20 years working in the accounting industry. From starting out in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, to eventually becoming a Chief Financial Officer for multi-million dollar companies, Tom eventually started his own business, Business by Barnhill. He is awesome! He knows how all that tax stuff works and can empathize with small business entrepreneurs because he IS one! I loved how members of our group started confessing to mistakes they have made/are currently making and it just snowballed from there. Once one person confessed, then more confessed. And Tom never sat in judgement. He was compassionate, graceful, and offered a big smile with every word of advice.
Tom is one of those guys you wish you could have around all the time to ask him questions. The great thing is that you can! He offers services to small business owners and I cannot recommend him enough as a business investment! We are so pleased to call Tom a business mentor, TTDC member, and friend! Thank you, Tom, for sharing all your knowledge with us! We truly appreciate you!
Thank you to all of our members who came out to learn about accounting and finances!
