Well hello there, Valentine! This month we celebrated friendships the way we did back in elementary school with Sugar Shack donuts, chocolate coins, and lemonade. Sugar rush – yes. Regrets – none! 🙂
Thank you to Meghan Evans for bringing the donuts! They were beautiful and delicious. And I stirred that lemonade for a long time, so you’re all very welcome. 😉
This month’s meeting topic, “Growth, Scaling, and Collaboration,” met each of us where we are in our business journey. We discussed how to create better workflows, which CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software might be best for each personality/type of business, ways to collaborate, and so much more! Members who attended this meeting were a mix of photographers, makers, designers, and service providers so we had a variety of perspectives and advice!
We interrupt this blog post to bring you more yummy photos! More about the meeting topic below.
One of my favorite activities from this meeting was breaking into smaller groups to have others assess current workflows. They went to each others’ sites and asked real questions as if they were their ideal client. What questions did they still have? Why might they book or not book? When they contact you, how do you currently respond? What could you do to make that more efficient? We went through the entire process and many found gaps where they knew they could improve (for growth and client experience).
Everyone had time to share within their small group while absorbing valuable advice from others! It’s so important to me that we have meetings (every now and then) where we dive into each others’ businesses and share what’s on our hearts and minds. Learning from speakers is great, too, but planning times for our members to really connect is vital to our community. I believe it gives everyone a voice and we walk away feeling connected.
Rachel Hegarty took all of these beautiful photos! I’m thinking that this may be my phone wallpaper every February. Thank you to my mom for gifting me the cute “xoxo” paper weight! She’s always thinking about photo styling for me!
Brynne and Meghan hung on to every word I said. Haha! Probably not. I was just reading a question from our RTS guide. 🙂 Friends, this meeting was so, SO good! We all left with friendships and lists of ways to grow our businesses!
Thank you to Artisan 2 for supplying us with a beautiful space, bottled water, and fun Valentine’s. You are all such gracious hosts! We’ll see you again soon!
