FAVORITE VENUES
Venues represent where guests will stay or where your wedding/event is taking place. They can also be nearby spots that serve as well-known landmarks like The White House.
CUSTOMIZED MAP TITLE
Your map's title can be whatever you like! Welcome them to your city or your wedding/event weekend. Dates may be included, as well.
SPECIAL ICONS
Icons are a great way to represent places when space on your map is limited or the building doesn't match your aesthetic. For example, a suitcase to represent another hotel, a margarita for your favorite bar, or music notes for a concert venue are cute icon details!
ADD YOUR CREST
If you have a crest from The Welcoming District, that can be added to your map, too!
You may print your map on your own or order fun details through The Welcoming District, whichever you prefer. Many of my clients like printing welcome notes through me: their map on the front and a message on the back.
PRINTING
Custom maps take about 30 business days to complete. Please keep in mind that this date does not start at your time of purchase. After receiving payment, completing a questionnaire, and signing an agreement, we will schedule a design week based upon my availability.
TURNAROUND TIME
When your watercolor map is approved and completed, I'll send you three types of digital files: JPG, PNG, and a PDF. This allows you to print your map for personal use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, I'd be happy to help you with that! Past clients have had me create their maps with a 5"x 7" (or 7"x 5") ratio for that reason. These make perfect welcome notes to gift your guests upon arrival to your wedding weekend celebration! A message on the back (same message on the back of each card) allows you to greet your guests with information about the weekend and a thoughtful welcoming sentiment.
If you choose to work with a stationery company where you can upload your own files, they may have very specific size requests. You can resize them yourself with programs like PicMonkey or I can create them for you for $30 per file resize.
The sooner you get on my design schedule the better. Custom maps take 15-30 business days to complete so I only accept a few of those projects per quarter. Allow yourself a few weeks to get details printed, too.
Occasionally. Rush orders mean I am working outside my regular office hours to work on your project. If I accept a rush order for a map, there is a $200 fee added to the original cost.
